Starting in the Semiconductor Division as a cost Engineer and ending as a Controller in the Consumer Products Division. An avid technology enthusiast, Jim left Texas Instruments to start his own business, NTS Communications. Jim’s efforts saw NTS Communications develop into a competitive and valuable enterprise, one of which he sold eight years later. Jim dabbled in various business for the next few years until he was introduced to AAA AUGER in San Antonio, then a subsidiary of a General Contractor Enterprise known as Building Services.

Jim was initially hired to manage the business; however, with Jim’s various skills, Jim saw tremendous opportunities to affect efficiency, operational processes and accounting. Jim took AAA AUGER into the modern era with the introduction of computer networks, databases and systems; all of which he personally built, designed and installed. David Cross, President & CEO of AAA AUGER Plumbing Services stated, “When I first met Jim, I had no idea how talented he was. He was so quiet and reserved, but all it took was to hang with him for a few days to discover that the man could do anything. And I mean ANYTHING; electrical, framing, plumbing, telephone system engineering, maintenance & repair, computer/hardware and software implementation and repair, computer programming….I can’t think of much Jim can’t do well”.

Jim currently serves as our Chief Information Officer and Director of Information Technology.

Jim is happily married to his lovely wife Carole. Jim has two sons, a daughter and two grandsons and two granddauters. Aside from his passion for technology, Jim enjoys camping, hunting, fishing and nearly all outdoor activities. Both Jim and his wife are proud Rotarians and are both very active in their communities.

Some have been caught saying that Jim Reed taught Reliable Red what it means to be reliable! Regardless, Jim is undoubtedly one of the main reasons that AAA AUGER Plumbing Services are “the Go-to-Guys!”
